Shift your parenting.

Grow alongside your kids.

Parent in a way that is connection-focused, conscious and backed by neuroscience research.

At Growing en Famille, we empower parents so that they feel sturdier to tackle the challenges of parenting and raise resilient and emotionally healthy kids.

Hi, I’m Claudia!

As a Certified Parenting Coach based in Nelson, BC, I empower parents from all walks of life through personalized online coaching and in-person support for families in the Kootenays. My goal is to help you foster meaningful connections with your children using proven, science-backed approaches to parenting.

My cup of tea: conscious parenting, neurodivergent families, and francophone families.

Growing en Famille came to life as a way for me to share my experiences and extensive research I’ve done to answer my many questions about parenting. I’m privileged to be the mom of an autistic child who has profoundly transformed my values and life purpose. I thought I was prepared for motherhood after reading a few books…and then came the surprise! I honestly knew nothing about raising a neurodivergent child and found myself overly focused on the challenging behaviours. Standard strategies and advice just didn’t work. Motherhood wasn’t the smooth ride I had imagined. I had to find acceptance and bravely choose a countercultural parenting path. Without learning to parent with consciousness and intentionality, my connection with my kids and my mental health would have greatly suffered. I needed to learn how to truly build a relationship with them and meet their needs so they could thrive (No one tells you this when you become a parent!). I learned to slow down, trust my instincts and really listen and see my children for who they are (not who I wanted them to be!). My kids needed a calm and steady mom and a tuned-in leader.

With an academic background in science, it was no surprise I approached my research like a mad scientist. I quickly became passionate about neurodiversity and all things parenting. Conscious, Intentional, Responsive, sécurisante et bienveillante (fr.), and Progressive Parenting all reflect my philosophy. I now dedicate my work to helping parents reestablish the foundation of trust, respect and cooperation with their children and repair what has been broken along their messy parenting journey.

I am honoured to guide parents to best support their child’s development while prioritizing their own mental health and truly enjoying parenthood! You can get there too!

I am here to curate parenting knowledge tailored to your unique needs.

Wherever you are on your parenting or reparenting journey, I’m pleased to meet you there.

Meaningful and lasting changes in your household starts with you!

You set the stage for your child’s interactions with themselves and with others.

Your voice becomes your child’s inner voice.

Your child’s identity is built from what you reflect of them.

Parenting is the most challenging job in the world. You deserve the support.

Do you sometimes feel that your worth as a parent is determined by your how ‘‘well’’ your child behaves?

Growing en Famille is here to help overwhelmed parents!

Do you feel overwhelmed by your child’s emotions and behaviours? Have you tried many strategies, but none seems  effective for long? Do you feel like your frustrations are creating distance between you and your child?  These feelings are common among parents. You are not alone. You are in the right place, and I can help you.

The truth is that having children is the quickest way to bring our own inner struggles to the forefront.

When we focus too much on implementing strategies, it gets in the way of our connection to our kids. You must raise yourself to raise your kids.

I’m here to help you uncover the authentic parent you want to be and set the groundwork for a healthy parent-child relationship.
